Oil catch tank for the TR6 (will also fit TR4/4A/5/250) – specific to RHD cars (LHD version available soon).

Designed bespoke to RHD cars, the oil catch tank is used to divert the oil/water vapour vented from the engine away from your air intake – avoids reducing intake air quality and additional oil/carbon build up on the intake tracts and valves/valve stems.

The oil catch tank is used to divert the oil/water vapour vented from the engine away from your air intake – avoids reducing intake air quality and additional oil/carbon build up on the intake tracts and valves/valve stems.

Rather than the tank venting directly into the engine bay (a common oil catch can setup, which can cause oil mist build up in the engine bay and oil odours in the cabin), the tank has a designated outlet pipe which diverts the outlet to down and out at the chassis level of the car – the air stream across the end of the hose at chassis level helps promote a vacuum flow effect through the tank.

The custom shaped tank has specific orientations and sizes for the inlet/outlet pipes to enable easier (and neater looking) hose routing around the engine bay.

The tank provides for an inlet from the rocker cover, but also an inlet that can be used to vent direct from the crankcase (via the fuel pump opening). A custom shaped fuel pump blanking plate spigot has been designed that bolts to the block, which is included with the tank. The outlet pipe points downwards for an easier hose route to down to the bottom of the car.

The tank is shaped to fit in the space to the right of the battery (when viewing engine bay from the front).

A full length lid on the top of the tank enables easy access to inside the tank for checking/cleaning of the tank, negating the need for sight tube and drain plugs.

The fuel pump blanking plate spigot is included with the tank along with fitting instructions which also provide required hose lengths and diameters (common hose types available at motor factors).

The tank is produced in carbon fibre reinforced PET for high strength and high heat/chemical resistant properties.
