Bypass valve delete plates for the Zenith Stromberg CD-175 carburetor.
Laser cut shaped aluminium plates which remove the bypass valve (BPV) entirely from the body of the carb.
Bypass valves can leak where the internal rubber diaphragms are worn/torn and/or where the spring is improperly set. This can cause running issues where air is effectively leaked past the throttle plate when it is closed e.g. revs hanging up and related high idling behaviour.
Blanking off the operation of the BPV is a relatively well known modification and these plates go one step further by deleting the BPV body altogether from the carb.
Laser cut to the precise shape of the carb body in 4.7mm aluminium and then hand-finished.
Original hardware from the BPV can be re-used (cut down in length to suit) and to save buying new bolts.
Can be fitted with or without a gasket (can re-use the BPV gasket) as desired, and done so with simple hand tools.
Priced individually, one plate per carb.
