A new door check strap for the TR6 which operates without the clacking/cracking noise of the existing door check strap.

The new door check strap holds the door at a resistance point in the outermost position and reduces free closing action of the door.
Fits inside the bodyshell without any modifications using the same two holes as the existing strap.
The strap arm is CNC machined from billet aluminium to a unique curvature and profiling design. The strap arm is housed in a custom designed box that holds the sliding bushes and rubber ‘springs’, both also specifically designed for the application.
Following removal of the original door check strap (same process as if changing the original door check strap) the new box and arm are bolted into the same position and secured by two bolts using the same two holes in the bodyshell.
No modifications needed and can be fully removed/reversed.
Supplied with a replacement shoulder bolt (rather than using a rivet) and a shaped grommet to also reduce noise at the door end connection, particularly where the holes in the door tabs have wear.
Supplied with an additional spare set of bushes (the bearing surface item inside the door check strap box).
Should also fit TR4 (late) and 4A/5/250.
